Me represented the Irvine Smith Gasoline Engine Co. of Stanley, that is seeking another location.it will he recalled that the company was damaged to quite an extent not long ago by a lire and. they contemplate moving elsewhere .*)-stead of rebuilding. In conversation with Mr. Irvine a Register representative learned that the company liaj been offered generous inducements from two or three cities in this section, but that they prefer to move to Oelwein as it is so near Stanley..Mr. Irvine said that if the Oelwein people will do anything like whirl, they are offered elsewhere they will come to Oelwein and locate. He said it is commonly acknowledged that they have as good an engine as is made, and that in his opinon there is no question but what they can sell al! that can be manufactured.
