I - 1aunt kersiah's home.A ^ery interesting old lady is Mrs. Anastasia Parsell, who lived just 100 years in New York city and has lately gone to her daughter, Mrs. Edward Houghton, at Bayonne, N. J., in search of a quieter life. She was born in 17SG, in a country house about where Dover street now is. when all the land above Franklin was in farms. One of her early recollections is of seeing a colored woman hanged for arson in the field where Washington square now is. In 1806 she married Edward Parsed, a revolutionary soldier who died in 1923, and the old lady has been a widow sixty-six years. As a child she often saw Washington. Her maiden name was Keeline. her father an emigrant from Ireland. There is in New Jersey, at least, one older woman,namely. Mrs. Rebecca Sidner, of Deckertown, who is 104 years old. These two are thought to be the oldest in the state, and both are in fairly good health, though quite feeble from age.
