Golden anniversaryMr and Mrs. Herbert A. Dameron will celebrate their golden anniversary on Sunday, April 5 in Las Vegas, Nev. The Damerons were married in Key West in 1942, and raised tour children on the island: Gloria, Deborah, Herbert Jr., and Eve. There are five grandchildren: Kelly, Dean, Julie, William and Michael. Minnie Corinne was born in Key West in 1925 to Mary Corinne and Alfred Knowles. Her great-great grandfather is Anthony James Pent of Key West, who is considered the first American to be born in the island, once the American flag was raised here. Herbert Ashland was born in Faber, Va in 1921 to Cora Lillian and Harry Blain Dameron. He is a retired electrician and WWII Navy Veteran They have lived in Key West since 1941.
