granddaughter, Felicia Roth.They were married April 9, 1927, in Groton, Conn., and have lived in Independence since 1942.Mr. Simmons was a librarian at the Independence Public Library for 10 years and the Denver Public Library for 14 years. He was an assistant chaplain at the Regional Health Center for 12 years before he retired.Mrs. Simmons is a published poet and author. She is in Who’s Who of American Women, is a former lecturer of the United Nations International, Denver Chapter, and a member and officer of American Pen Women.They are members of the RLDS Stone Church, Independence.
