Utah's twih House members joined forces Thursday and introduced hills, to enlarge southern?,Utah’s Canyonlands Na-tioriil Park- and give national -pari status tD the Arches National Monument.Republican Sherman P. Lloyd and Democrat Gunn MeKay said in a joint statement that' two other Utah bills, one creating a Capitol Reef National Park and the ether establishing the Glen Canyon National Recreation area, may be introduced early next week.Tie four Utah park bills hayk already been introduced in.the Senate by Democrat Fiimk E. Moss and Republican; Wallace F. BennettMr- Uoyd and Mr. McKay said the effect of the bill creating the Arches National Park would be to reduce the boundaries of the existing national monument whcih were expanded by executive order in .-1969. The park would be 75,546 acres in size as compared to the monument’s Present 82,953 acres.The Car.yonland Parte would be'- increased by 79,000 acres giving the park a total acreage; of 337,258.
