The contest between the old Independent club, backers of the present incumbents in city offices headed by Mayor Albert Martin, and the Progressive Citizens Party slate headed by J. B. Donoho for mayor, has resulted in either side giving any quarter.Final rallies of both political factions will be held Monday night, when thousands are expected to be attracted to hear the final addresses in the campaign. Today about both political headquarters large crowds have been assembled, all interested in the battle of ballots that will be waged Tuesday.At the Independent Club rally in front of the Central School beginning at 8 o’clock tonight R. L. Bobbitt will preside as master of ceremonies'. The speakers scheduled are: W. S. Cantrell, Ed ’ Leyendecker, John A. Vails, M. J. Raymond, L, Villegas, Mayor Albert Martin, City Marshal C. Men-diola, Ed S. Russell, City Secretary A. R. Garcia, Miss Maria de la Luz Trevino, Miss Rebeca Rubio and probably others.At the Progressive Citizens Party rally, to be held beginning at 8 o’clock at the comer of Flores and Washington, a number of speakers will be on the program, including O. W. Killam, it was announced. The list of speakers was not announced but it was said it will be a number.The voting places In tomorrow’s election will be the following:Ward No. 1, Place 1, at No. 2Q Iturbide street.
