LANDMARK TOWER TALK IN PROGRESS “Preliminary negotiations” are still being held with a prospective buyer for Landmark Tower, Nevada’s tallest building. L. P. Scherer, Fremont Construction Co., confirmed that the talks were being held. He declined to elaborate. Several businessmen in the building at the base of Landmark Tower said they had been approached financially on moving out. The 31-story tower, planned as a hotel, has cost nearly $5 million thus far. Work stopped after loan disagreements in December, I%2. The building is 297*4 *eet 7*4 feet taller' than the .Mint Hotel from ground level.;
