Charles Caperton Greene county dailies voters to decide on tax rate in May Xenia a Xenia City Council unanimously passed legislation on thursday Jan. 14. 2010, w hich is the first step in the process that w ill give voters the right to decide whether it s time to raise the City s income tax rate from 1.75 percent to 2.25 percent. The proposed lax increase which would appear on the May 4. 2010. Ballot is expected to generate an estimated $2.7 million for the City.
