Recyclers jump right in to help now is the time to Register All children must be five years old by sept. 30 to enter kindergarten in the Xenia Community schools District. All parents or guardians Are asked to Call the students Home school now to Register. In late april parents will receive a letter with an assigned Date time for Xenia Community schools annual kindergarten screening which will be held the week of May 12-15. All children must be screened to attend kindergarten. Children who participate in kindergarten screening in May have first priority for placement. Kindergarten students who enrol later and miss screening May run the risk of having to attend a school other than their Home school. For More information Call Xenia Community schools at 937 376-2961. Works at Stivers two Xenia High school Art students recently displayed their work in the 2008 governor s youth Art exhibition at Stivers school for the Art. Emily Kathe entered three prices and Heather Butler entered four pieces with one being selected to the state level. If butlers work is selected at the state her artwork will then be on display at the Ohio state House in Columbus in april. Art students display two Xenia High school Art students or Heather Butler and Emily Kathe recently displayed their work in the 2008 governors youth Art exhibition at Stivers school for the Art. Members of the Greene county Fra at Xenia High school have been leading a successful building wide paper recycling program since last february. During the past year members have collected Over eight tons of recycled paper which equals nearly 52 cubic Yards of Landfill space saved for this Effort. Students will continue collecting old newspapers magazines and waste paper biweekly throughout the High school in an Effort to reduce garbage As the use of natural resources. Americans dump 180 million tons of garbage annually More than 40 percent of which is paper. High Grade printing copying and writing paper Are the largest single components in landfills. This is Only one of the Many Community service activities conducted on annual basis by the Greene county Fra chapter. Chs and Bob Evans work together to buy books for chs Library Xenia High school and Xenia Bob Evans will be hosting Community fun nights saturday april 19 and sunday april 20 to raise funds for the Xenia High school Library. Customers who eat at Bob Evans either of those two Days will be Able to submit a voucher to the cashier along with their Bill. Xenia High school will earn 20 percent of the sales from those submitted vouchers Over the two Day period. All proceeds from the Community fun nights will be used to Purchase books for the chs Library. Vouchers will also be available at Bob Evans 400 West main Street. Xenia until april 18. All Xenia schools will have copies of vouchers for students and parents the Xenia Board of education will also have vouchers on hand through business hours on april 18 and the vouchers can be downloaded from the school website at www.Xenia.kl2.oh.us by following the schools link to Xenia High school. The voucher can be used regardless of the size or color of the paper on which it is printed. Vouchers can be used for Dine in or carry out orders All Day both Days. In recent years the chs Library has suffered budget decreases while the demand for books has surpassed its Supply.
