Dear Dad ( Little Reggie)
If tears could build a stairway and memories a
lane, I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say " Goodbye" you were gone
before I knew it, and only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant for me to love you
No one can ever know. But now I know you
want me to mourn for you no more.
To remember all the Happy times
life still has much more in store.
Since you will never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today a hollowed place within
my heart is where you'll always stay.
Love and miss you more than words can ever
say. How I wish I could hear the message on
my phone " Sharon it’s your Dad".
Love always your Daughter

- Karen. M ANITOBA Liquor & Lotteries is betting a
bigger Club Regent Casino will be better
for tourism.
The Crown corporation announced Friday it is
seeking private- sector partners to develop a 100-
to 150- room boutique hotel and two privately operated
200- to 250- seat restaurants to be connected
to the west side of the Transcona- area casino.
The 50,000- square- foot development is expected
to enhance Club Regent’s appeal as a destination
centre for Manitobans and out- of- province tourists,
Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries ( MLL) said in
a news release.
It will be connected to the casino by an indoor
courtyard and atrium with a Liquor Mart Express
store and pop- up vendors displaying Manitobamade
products, the release said.
The development will have a significant economic
impact, creating jobs through the project’s
construction phase to its completion with more
positions in the hospitality industry, Economic
Development Winnipeg Inc. chief executive officer
Marina James said in the news release.
Every year, an average of 180,000 out- of- province
guests visit the Casinos of Winnipeg. The
new Club Regent Event Centre had 65,000 guests
in its opening year and hosted 71 major shows,
banquets and third- party events.
The next expansion on the west side is expected
to draw even more visitors to the province, James
said.
“ These latest enhancements will support Winnipeg’s
growing profile as a destination city that
out- of- province tourists will want to visit,” she
said. Construction is expected to begin next year.
The capital cost for the development requires
an investment of approximately $ 30 million from
MLL and $ 30 million from the private sector.
MLL said it will recover its investment from
land leases and property rentals. It says the hotel
and restaurants will create close to 200 full- and
part- time jobs.
“ I am excited about this unique development,”
Dave Angus, president and CEO of the Winnipeg
Chamber of Commerce, said in a news release.
“ Winnipeg is a vibrant city, and this project will
further complement our diverse restaurant scene
and will offer guests even more distinct hotel options.”
