Where a meeting of the members of the credit union is held simultaneously in more than one place each such place and all such places in the aggregate shall constitute for all purposes a single meeting. In the event that the board of directors determine that a meeting of the members shall be held simultaneously at more than one place in Manitoba the meeting shall only be held in places where telephone or other communications facilities permit, by such means, all persons participating in the meeting at other places to hear and communicate with each other in real time by means of two way communication, and a member participating in such a meeting by such means is deemed to be present at the meeting and shall be entitled to vote through the communications facilities by show of hands or by ballot if required at the place where the member attends the meeting.” B. Clause 5.06 ( a) is amended by inserting the phrase “ or multiple places“, immediately following after the word “ place” in first line thereof. C. Section 5.11 is amended by inserting the following at the end of the first sentence comprising the said section: “ In the event that such meeting of members is simultaneously constituted at multiple places a quorum for the transaction of business at such meeting shall be the aggregate number of the members at all places who are entitled to vote thereat in the same manner as if the meeting was held in a single place.” D. SUMMARY OF PROPOSED BY- LAW CHANGE The proposed by- law change is for the sole purpose of allowing Members to attend meetings of Access at a locations more convenient for each Member. As the Members are located over a large geographic area, Members’ convenience dictates that Access hold its meetings at several locations rather at a single place as presently stated in the by- laws. To allow all Members to fully participate in the democratic process of meetings the revised by- laws provide for the meetings in various locations to be held simultaneously and that communication facilities be present at all places enabling each Member to hear and communicate with all other Members present at all other locations in real time in a two way communication stream. The revised by- laws also provide that Members participating at several locations may vote by ballot ( if required) at such location or through the communication stream established for the meeting. 37 Legal Notices LIQUOR LICENCE APPLICATION PUBLIC NOTICE CITY HEART EAST INDIAN CUISINE INC. operating as CITY HEART EAST INDIAN CUISINE has applied for DINING ROOM LIQUOR SERVICE LICENCE at 589 SARGENT AVENUE WINNIPEG, MANITOBA to serve liquor from: 9: 00 A.
