TEST TEST ADENA JANE ANDERSON 1942 - 2006 Adena Jane Anderson beloved wife of Jim, of Calgary passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the age of 64 years. Adena loved her time at the cottage in Manitoba with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her later career as a manager for mentally challenged adults in Manitoba at ACLU and Calgary at Resicare brought her great joy and immense satisfaction. Jeremy will always be remembered by his mother Janice; father Randy; brother Derek; and sisters, Avery and Brittany. Jeremy’s short life on this earth was filled with many challenges and hardships. Though his body was weak, his spirit was strong. God opened His arms and took Jeremy from us to join his Grandma and Grandpa Giesbrecht and Grandpa Busch, to be free from the barriers that he had here on this earth. She is survived by her parents Randi Epps and Anthony Chase; her twin sister Abrielle Chase. Grandparents Nerena ( Al) Lariviere, William Epps, Alonza ( Angela) Chase. Uncles Lee Fry, Alonza Chase Jr. and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Arianna was born with twin sister Abrielle on June 2, 2005 at the St. Boniface Hospital. She was a beautiful little girl who was full of life. She had a way of bringing a smile to your face and brightening your day, and for that you couldn’t help but fall in love with her. She will be forever missed and never forgotten. She is now safe in the arms of the Lord, protecting all those she touched in her own special way and all who loved her. The family would like to extend its appreciation to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the staff at the Children’s Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. We would also like to thank the paramedics, police and fire department for their urgent response and care for Arianna and family. Predeceased are her husband Gordon and sister Helen. Thelma was born in Inwood, MB and raised in the Norris Lake Area, where she attended Westerham School. In her early years, Thelma taught School, worked at Paulin Chambers, then the Furrier Industry. Mom retired from Crown Zellerbach – Plastics Division after 30 years of employment. Thelma was a strong willed, but private person with an exceptional flair for baking. She enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, Alaska, Las Vegas, and especially to Sweden to explore her heritage. The family wishes to express thanks to the staff at Luther Home, the gentle and compassionate care given in the final weeks of Thelma’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Society of Manitoba, Winnipeg Humane Society, or Luther Home in our mother’s memory. “ We love you Mom” CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586- 8044 MARGARET DUNBAR CRAIG ( nee LUCAS) Peacefully, on Monday, July 17, 2006, after a brief illness and with her family at her side, Margaret passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to mourn are her daughter Lynn ( Ron); and son Bill. Mum was predeceased by her husband George ( 1996); daughter Ann ( 1953); and son George ( 2002). Mum was born in Forres, Scotland, January 14, 1921. Mum worked for Coates Mills until the beginning of the Second World War, she then joined the Civil Defence in Johnson, Scotland, where she served until the end of the war. Mum and dad married in 1950 and immigrated to Canada in 1950, where they began farming in the Souris and Deloraine areas. In 1975, they moved to the Interlake area where they resided until dad’s ill health caused them to move to Winnipeg. In accordance with Margaret’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, August 5 at 1: 00 p. m. in the Deloraine Cemetery, Deloraine, MB. Our family would like to thank the compassionate and caring doctors and nursing staff at the Emergency/ Observation unit and Ward GA 4 at the Health Sciences Centre. TEST TEST ARTHUR CORRIVEAU Peacefully, in his sleep, Arthur passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the Beacon Hill Lodge at the age of 92 years. He is survived by his only son Guy ( Lillis); three grandchildren, Noel, Yvan and Graeme; as well as nieces, Arlette and Lydia; nephews, Alan, Norman and Gilles, his godson. Arthur was born in Montmartre, SK and received his Teaching Certificate from Normal School in Regina. His first assignment was in Ponteix, SK. His education career was interrupted by wartime service with the Royal Canadian Artillery ( 5th BC Coast Regiment). He returned to his education career post- war in Manitoba and married Léona in 1946. He taught at the St. Boniface College, became inspector of schools ( Seine River School Division and Churchill, MB), he taught at Normal School in Winnipeg, directed the Provincial Curriculum Branch and retired from Provincial Public Service as Director of Second Languages. On retirement, Arthur continued his education career teaching student teachers at both the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba. The family is grateful to the management and staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for the care provided to Arthur since 1998. He is predeceased by his parents, Doris ( nee Thomson) and Dr. Delmar Dawson ( D. D. S.) Left to cherish his beautiful memory, wife Emily, daughter Rebecca, twin sister Deborah ( Len) Prawdzik and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Shortly after his twin sister Deborah, Drew was born on November 15, 1956 at the Misericordia General Hospital in Winnipeg. Surprised and excited parents, Del and Doris returned home to Neepawa, MB., with their newborn twins. Drew grew up in Neepawa and met his wife to be Emily Lehmann when he ordered a toasted bacon and tomato sandwich with all the fixins' for which he was only prepared to pay $ 2.00. Emily was instantly smitten by his sparkling ocean blue eyes and mischievous grin. Drew and Emily were married on September 26, 1981 in Neepawa, MB and lived in Winnipeg. On April 11, 1994 their daughter Rebecca Catherine was born. Drew was a proud and devoted father. Drew patiently played with Rebecca for hours. They shared many of the same interests. One of the things they liked to do best was going to Monster Jam events. Trucks and other motorized vehicles were their passion. Drew enjoyed listening to blues and country music. You might have been lucky to catch him dancing ( but only after midnight). You'd know him best for wearing a baseball cap, cowboy boots, “ bootleg” jeans, sporting sunglasses, and enjoying coffee from one of his many steel travel mugs. As a young man he was an avid hunter, enjoyed golfing, and spent most of his time outdoors. Drew loved his many pets and was fond of hunting dogs. Drew was fun- loving and known for his direct approach, keen wit and teasing manner. Games of hearts and cribbage were played ruthlessly. Drew was a loyal, generous friend; was a dedicated and hard working employee - always there to lend a helping hand to neighbours and friends. He found creative ways to get the job done with speed and efficiency. A celebration of Drew's life was held on Friday, July 28 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel in St. Boniface. Interment followed at the St. Boniface Cemetery. EMMA ( EM) HEIDRICK ( nee PILOUS) Passed away peacefully July 3, 2006 at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, BC. Born April 27, 1917 in Winnipeg, MB, Emma was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 35 years in 1976. She was also predeceased by nine siblings. Emma is lovingly remembered by children, Bill ( Kathie), Arleen Janzen ( Claudio), Jack ( Wendy), Andy ( Myla), Terri Peach; grandchildren, Christopher ( Golda), Andrea ( Shawn), Kristen, Karyn, Caytie, Daniel and Ned, and a great grandchild, Trevor. Mom was an accomplished athlete in her time, and continued to be an avid gardener and committed bowler through her 89 years. She was ahead of her time as a recycler and as a proponent of whole, raw foods and herbal remedies. Mom enjoyed a good game of Scrabble or bridge, and was always a vigorous participant in any ‘ games’ opportunities at family gatherings. Her spirit of endurance in TEST TEST EDWARD DUKE SR. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956- 2193 ERIN FEILBERG Erin William Carl Feilberg peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 25, 2006, at the age of 41 years. Erin will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Leanne of 21 years; his sons, Justin, Brendan and Riley; and his daughter Lauren. Also left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Carl and Lorna; devoted grandmother Lena Feilberg; his sister Heather McDonald ( Dean); his brothers, Eric ( Julie) and Lars ( Val); mother- in- law Shirley Winslow; sister- in- law Lorna Nazar ( Brian); and brother- in- law Lennard Winslow ( Tanya). Erin will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his many good friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Mabel Nakka, Haakon Feilberg; and father- in- law Bill Winslow. Born in Winnipeg and raised in East Braintree, he later married Leanne Winslow and settled on the family farm to raise their family. Erin spent his life operating a logging business with his father Carl; brother Eric; sons, Justin and Brendan; brother- in- law Dean; and good friend Walter. He enjoyed the simple farm life and raising his herd of cattle with his family. Erin always said he was a simple man because he loved the simple things that life had to offer, God, family and nature. Erin’s love of the outdoors involved, working in the woods and on the farm, hunting, fishing and camping, holidays with his family. It was during his battle with cancer this past year that his God- given wisdom became very evident to all who spent time with him. Thank- you Erin for giving so generously of yourself. Our prayer for you is that you left us knowing how much you were loved and respected. The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to all of the team at Manitoba CancerCare and especially to Dr. Paul de Moissac and the wonderful nursing staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital. Their kindness and empathy was a huge help to the family. As per Erin’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
