ADOLF EDWARD ( ED) ROSMUS
August 12, 1939 - August 17, 2015
We are deeply saddened to announce the
sudden passing of Ed on Monday, August 17,
2015 at the age of 76 years.
Ed was born in Melrose, Manitoba and at an
early age began to work on the family farm. Ed
considered himself a handyman, but often had
to call someone to fix or finish what he had
started. As he got older, he decided to head
west, first to Saskatoon and then to Alberta. He
knew within days of arriving in Calgary that,
that was the place he wanted to live; and he did
so for nearly 50 years. Ed worked for
Greyhound as a bus driver from 1972 until his
retirement in 2001, after that, he still drove for
a freight company for several more years. He
often boasted about having driven four million
miles in his career. Ed was a very special
person who touched the lives of many by his
kindness and generosity. He always thought
about others before himself and will be missed
by all that knew him.
He is survived and remembered forever by
his two sisters, Violet Rosmus and Helen Loster,
niece Dawn Loster, nephew Jason Loster
( Kelly), great- niece Morgan Loster, former
spouse Sonja Rosmus and their children
Charlene and Roger.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and

old friends and new, and she enjoyed many a

friends that she kept in touch with over many
years. Helen was a stalwart at many basketball
