The Prince Arthur's Landing Herald re- ports the result of an intei-Tiew with Mr. W. B. ymellie, consulting engineer of the C. P. R. Co'., as follows E; G. Garden, C. E., will begin the work of locating the line early in the morning, commencing at a point about1 half way across the O'Brien addition, passing through the shallow -waters of the bay, parallel with South Water street, at a distance of about 100 feet from the shore, eastward of the Thun- der Bay D. E. ft F. Co.'s new dock, along the front of the town, and belli td the squat- ters' houses to the post office; thence along tho bay parallel with North Water street; thence through the Me Vicar prop- erty and ascending the slope tiU 'high ground is reached -on the western Branch of the AIcRenzie Eiver, which is some twenty miles northeast of Prinee Arthur's Landing. Keachir.g the Mc- Eenzie River, it is the intention of the Company to place the road under construc- tion at once and have it graded this season. The work will be prosecuted with all despatch under the supervision of Mr. John Bess, Homer, One., who is expected here every day and will give employment to all the men who apply for work. The lake frontage in town is soree feet, and as it is the intention to have the station directly in the centre, Prince Arthur's Landing (once the buildings aud works are completed and trains running regularly) will be able to present to the eye of the tourist, the business men and all who pass this way, one of the busiest scenes on the Continent. Ttie Latest "Visitors. Yesterday, at a large party went out to the end of the track on the C. P. R. in a special train composed of the new offi- cial car which ctirne in Sunday night, the magnificent car in which Mr. Stephen and party came up, and one of the new passen- ger coaches. The party consisted of the gentlemen who carre iu on Sunday Eon. D. A. Smith, Dunean Mclutyre, J. J. C. Abbott, the Messrs. Pilsbury, Cassils, Wm. Stephen, Clouston, Fruser, of Xew York, and a number of guests who have been at Silver Heights since Mr. Smith came up, some time ago, .in- cluding Wm. Armit, Scc'y H. B.
