Accord chg to Well founded reports he had been missing from the House since 9 o clock in the morning and when the body was found there was specs dilation As to who it was As Many thought or. Eastburn was at Lafayette attending the funeral of a relative. Later his automobile was found in the garage and when it was Learned that he was last seen about 9 o clock in the morning members of the family and others concluded that the charred remains was that of or Eastburn. The Bis barn was filled with tons of Straw and it is presumed that the unfortunate Man went to the barn to do the morning chores and Lay Down on top of the Straw to rest. He is known As a smoker and it May be that he dropped to sleep and live ashes from his pipe ignited the Straw. Other Rumos Are that on account of financial reverses and possibly family troubles he set the barn on fire and immediately afterwards committed suicide with a revolver which is said to be missing from the House. This phase of the Case be thoroughly investigated by Coroner Lesage before he renders his verdict but from an examination of what remains of the body there Are no Niarkos of a Bullet Hole. These rumours which Are being freely circulated in that Vicinity May be without foundation. Or. Eastburn is known to have purchased some life insurance a few months ago and a clause in the policy protects the company in Case of suicide within one year the verdict of or. Lesage if he finds that the Man took his own the constitutionality of the new automobile head Light Law is being questioned it was Learned recently. It is said that the 1917 Law permits either non Glare Lens or dimming devices but that the new Law enables the Secretary of state to compel All motorists to equip their machines with Lens approved by him. Whether the new Law May thus conflict with the old one and if a car equipped with a dimming devise without Lens is in violation of the Law is a matter that the attorney May be asked to Rule on at once. It is claimed that the Secretary of state would have no authority to arbitrarily pass on Lens. If it is then found to be a successful financial and commercial venture a permanent refining Plant will be erected according to present plans.
