Work raining school at Plymouth ind., rom one who had paid that institution a recent visit. There has been a great Deal of speculation in this Vicinity As to ust what kind of a place the school the school was established by mrs. Julia e. Work who has Given her whole life to juvenile delinquents and the establishment of a Home for orphan and dependent children. The school is still under ler personal supervision. It is situated about a mile and a half just North of the City of Plymouth a very Beautiful City and the county seat of Marshall county. The school accepts both boys and girls but they Are cared for in separate buildings and Are not even allowed to associate together on the play grounds. There Are several buildings in connection with the school and a competent instructor in charge of each collection of boys or girls As the Case May be in each division. The school is self sustaining for most part consisting of 240 acres of the Best land in the county which mrs. Work farms. The boys who Are Large enough to work assist in the. Different departments of the Arm work while the girls Are taught Domestic science. At present the school has an enrolment of 201 pupils. They receive the Benefit of the Public schools of Marshall county two Large and ample school buildings having been built adjacent to the school for the use of the training school. Warren county has at present eight pupils in said school. Frank quot Oster was the first Ever committed rom this county. He is getting along Fine and is advancing in school work. It will be remembered that for some time the Board of children s guardians of the county were at a loss to know what to do with the sheets children but it was finally decided to enter them in this school.
