Edmund Kuempel to serve on health care task force Wednesday, December 16. 198/ State Rep Edmund Kuempel has been appointed to the special task force on the Future of Long Term Health Care by Texas House Speaker Gib Lewis, O-Fort Worth Kuempel. serving his third term as Republican lawmaker from Seguin, represents District 46, which includes Comal County He also serves as chairman of the House Retirement and Aging Committee and is a member of the House Environmental Affairs Committee The task force w as created with the passage of House Concurrent Resolu non 2t:t during the regular session of the 70th legislature It will examine the current and future status of long term health care in Texas and analyze all current laws and regula tions that affect long term health care with the goal of providing quail tv care for residents in the most effi cient manner possible “Increasing efficiency and ensuring quality in the delivery of long term health care is essential if we are to keep pace with the growing demands of our aging society.’’ Lewis “It is my belief that the quality of long-term health care available for its citizens reflects the character of the society which provides it Dear Abby “I am pleased Rep Kuempel is willing to devote his time and energies to this critical study.” Lewis said.
