A the fact that Farmington Hills resident Rani Dhiman spends her spare time advocating and educating her Peers about voting solidifies the notion that she Isnit a typical fourth grader. Rani 9, attends the High Meadow common Campus and has started an ambitious journey to spread the word about voting through the launch of a childrens group called Farmington kids got. The group highlights the importance of voting and the need to urge parents and guardians to vote. I thought maybe i can do something Rani told the Detroit free press. I was kind of shy at first and then i Felt better. I thought that i could make a difference. Rani said the idea came after she had a conversation with her Mother Triman Jagdev about an upcoming school Bond thatus set to go before voters May 5. Rani said she Hopes her group will be Able to mobilize parents and get them to the polls on that Day in an Effort to approve the $ 131.5 million Bond proposal that District officials said will finance improvements safety and other updates. A a mrs. Dora Budd of old Mission passed through the City this morning in route for Portland where she goes in response to a Telegram announcing the fatal illness of her sister mrs. Carrie Adams wife of George Adams formerly of this City. A week ago mrs. Adams received Burns from which she is fast sinking into death. No particulars were available except the announcement of Burns by Oil probably by a lamp explosion and what seems especially sad is the fact that she has been terribly burned twice before from which she almost lost her life. A a the congregational Church has purchased a $ 3000 Organ. The contract was closed today with the Estey Organ company of Battleboro Vermont. J. W. Cliffe local representative of Grinnell Brothers assisted in the Deal. The roof of the Church has to be raised three feet to accommodate the Organ. It has three Banks of keys one of which controls the stops. The pipe Organ committee of the congregational Church closed the contract today. A a the regular meeting of Mcpherson Post g. A. R. Was about to be called to order when a delegation of ladies of the Relief corps invaded the sacred precincts of the Camp. After a few Jovial remarks of the old soldiers and ladies in regard to expelling them from the Hall etc., they produced a Beautiful Ensign 26x40 feet in size of Fine Wool Bunting and the president of the corps mrs. Marvin in a few Well chosen remarks proceeded to present the same to the Post. Commander Morgan responded and Lorin Roberts made a Fine speech promising to cherish and care for it carefully and that it shall Only be used on special occasions. A a the High school orchestra returned last night from its trip to Reed City Bellaire and Manton. The orchestra was Well received and met with Good houses All along the line. A a the International correspondence schools display is now at the Kimball music House. On Friday saturday and monday representatives Colgrove Tunison and Hall will show the schools plans and methods to anyone who will Call for free Cata logs. A club of new students is now being formed at special rates making a splendid Opportunity right now for ambitious people to prepare for advancement in position and salary.
