By Jimo Hara staff writer four opponents of a South Side sewage treatment and Stor age Plant who were arrested after a sit in at state sen. Nancy Lar Raine Hoffmann s office in july have worked out a Resolution of criminal trespass charges. Defense lawyer Joseph Heath said three of the four Agnes Lane Zachary Moore and Jac Quay Winfield have each agreed to do 50 hours of Volun Teer work in Exchange for having their cases adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. The fourth Edward Kinane will be required to plead guilty to a lesser trespass violation and perform 50 hours of Community service in Exchange for a one year conditional discharge according to Heath and assistant District attorney Michael Price. Heath said the details were worked out monday during a pret Al conference with Price and City judge Thomas Higgins or the Resolution also will re quire each of the four to stay away from Hoffmann s office in the Hughes state office build ing Heath said. The four were arrested july 12 after police said they refused to obey an order to leave the build ing following a Daylong sit in at Hoffmann s office. Protesters from the partner ship for Onondaga Creek which opposes plans for a million South Side treatment and storage Plant in the residential neighbor Hood at Midland Avenue and Oxford and Elaine streets had spent the Day at the office and vowed to stay until Hoffmann met with them and signed a let Ter supporting their civil nights complaint against the project. Hoffmann was not at the of fice that Day. Heath said the defendants will have to Complete their Community service in the next two months to resolve the cases nov. 1 before Higgins. Price said the prosecution is requiring a guilty plea from Kin Ane because of a prior record. The adjournments in contemplation of dismissal for the other three will allow those cases to be dismissed six months later if the defendants remain out of trouble. Heath said monday he is working toward a similar Resolution of criminal trespass charges filed july 29 against five other protesters charged with refusing to leave the Oxford Street site where a two Story apartment building was to be demolished to make Way for the Plant. Murder Case suspect gets term for lying a North Syracuse Man facing a murder charge in state court was sentenced in Federal court tuesday to 11 months in prison for violating probation. George w. Geddes jr., 47, of 230-h Palace court admitted in . District court he violated probation by not telling his pro Bation officer that he was renting space at a self storage facility in Clay.
