Professional Association Gave Up Itslife Yesterday.NEW' YORK, Oct. 20.—A meeting of the American Association of Professional Football Chibs was held In New York on Thursday. All clubs were represented. After a full discussion it was deemed for the best interest of all club members that the season be brought to a close on Oct. 20.The late period at which the association got under way, on account of the prolongation of the baseball season, and the difficulty of avoiding conflict with the regular college football games, pto\ed a serious obstacle to carrying out a schedule of games, but the association feelsthat with the experience it has gained it will be in pood conditiort to reorganize Inthe opening of 189T.The association will, during the winter, arrange tc formulate a new association on somewhat different lines, ready forspring work.
