Both saw a lot of action with the Badgers last season. “e Halfback Brown, ex-Oxnard [High sensation, gained All-American and All-Western State Conference honors last fall. He led the WSC in scoring with 66 points and gained 973 yards in 184 carries.Alford, a tight end for the Bucs, earned first-team All-Conference (offense) last fall. He caught 21 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns. He is also rated an outstanding blocker. Alford also was a standout at Oxnard High.Salmons, former Buena High lineman, gained all-conference (defense) honors as a tackle He won the VC Bench Club’s Hitter of the Year award.
