The following is the act recently passed our legislature regulating the Mode of elections soldiers in actual military ser it enacted in the sen and House of representatives of the if i Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Ingen and we Are prepared to y reason of the payment to him of local Bounty such other locality. 2. A poll Samll opened in each company composed in whole or in part of Pennsylvania soldiers Rit the quarters of the Captain or other of incr thereof and nil electors belonging to such company who a shall within one mile of such quarters on the Day of Flection and not prevented orders of their commanders or proximity of the emmy from returning to their company quarters Samll vote it such poll Section is made to him and the satisfied that said elector is a citizen of he United u states and legally entitled according to the Constitution and Laws of this state to vote St said election shall immediately put said ticket in the Box or other receptacle Hereford without inspecting the names of persons voted for and the clerks shall enter the name of the elector on the poll Book of his county and num Ber Ward precinct City Borough or town ship and county of his residence substantially in pursuance of tace form hereinafter at the end of the return the judges shall certify in substance As follows giving if officers their rank and number of their regiment and company if privates the number of their regiment and company Viz a True return of the election Given.
