Oil Fields Are again to feel hectic Boom More drilling programs and lease forces increased with a consistently rising Oil Market in Prospect and with Mckean county producers released from proration restrictions the local Oil Fields a the county a biggest Industry Are again Seething with activity for the first time in nearly three years. The South Penn Oil company has put a number of men Back to work on its leases in the nearby Hilltop Region this week indicating preparations for a marked increase of production. Closely following news that the Kendall Oil co. Is preparing to sink too new Oil and water Wells in a five spotting development of the John Ward lease at Rew City which was published in this newspaper last week comes news of other drilling activities which will extend from Summit a few Miles from Rew. To Indian Creek in the Eldred Region. Sloan amp Zook of Bradford Are preparing to Drill a Large number of new Wells in the Indian Creek Region. The Forest Oil corporation is also in line with a big new development program. It is reported that they have contracted for a total of 25 strings of tools which they plan to keep engaged for the balance of the year. Most of them have already been moved to location and it is believed that All of them will be actively at we Ork within two weeks. Great quantities of Rig Timber drilling materials and Gas engines Are being brought to the Region by motor trucks Over the paved highways and Are hauled into the Fields by horses and wagons. Hundreds of men Are being Given employment. Indications Are that at least too More new Wells will be drilled in the Region. The South Penn and tide water companies have Given notice that they will Purchase crude Oil in the Bradford Field during july at too per cent., based on the needs of november 1931. Tide water issued a similar notice to Allegany new York producers and Sinclair posted notice that it will take All crude offered in that Field in july after elimination of proration by the conservation Board. The allowable production had decreased to As Low As 75 per cent in the past several months and we As 85 per cent during june. Local Oil men Are confident that a real Boom is at hand in the nearby Fields. That will mean real Prosperity for Mckean Oil takes jump of i 0 and auditors Here for convention today a Large number of members of the Mckean county supervisors and auditors association Are in Smethport today for the convention of the organization which is scheduled to meet at the court House this morning.
