should been courage to work if they last year the presidents Council on social Security recommended that the Law be and several Bills have been introduced to do i have introduced legislation which would liberalize this limitation on earnings by raising it to per year from and my Bill also reduces the Cut in benefits from to in an Urban the Bureau of the census labels an income of for a single person to be poverty i dont believe that we should keep our social Security recipient people who have worked for and provided in Advance for their benefits on the Brink of too Many of our present Laws encourage people not to work by penal izing them when they try to provide for i believe this is one of the greatest problems As we look at How government programs affect our total the Farmers View months criticizing the us a and a few former congressmen and senators for allowing a Independent grading and inspecting system to evolve and the problem at hand is to restore Faith to those interested in purchasing All of agriculture As Wellas the entire nation will be better served during the next year if Grain exports can continue at a High level in Accord Ance with the abundance of i would much rather see our Federal government begin to balance its Bud get rather than continue to be the Leader in an wandering this Factor can be some what accomplished if Grain Export possibilities continue to expand and the prices of grains remain above the costs of workshop on maternity care 6 Northwest Iowa technical in cooperation with Iowa state department of will offer a workshop on August at the Iron Small businessman and i am writing to protest the immense amount of paperwork i Hava to sup ply the Federal government each it seems to me that if you Are serious cutting the Federal an awful lot could be saved in a Algona As a Small businessman certainly understand your the Many Federal agencies which re filling out of forms by Small businesses have created a situation where those who can least afford it have to hire specialists to help them for there Are 500 pages of specifications is by the occupational health and administration regarding toxic which Are covered under and regulations issued by the Impact of All of this is quite reverse of what Congress intended Federal regulatory to which were established to promote Competition and prevent Monopo Listic Are in fact making More difficult for Small business then who can least afford the exper Tise necessary to comply with their big business on the other is in a better position to afford expert this is a difficult be cause of the Power of giant Corpora irions and special without this Power would be to eliminate More and More Small we already see this happening today with the Independent gasoline station the answer would seem to me to be to keep those regulations which give some needed Protection to the Small operators while working to Cut Back on the bureaucratic red tape and paper work detrimental to the Small businessman and q i am writing in regard to social Security Why is it that the widows and singles May earn just so much and no More i would like to ask your help in increasing this if most of us have a time meeting our and to us it seems a bit Rock Valley a there is quite a lot of room for our social secur Ity end you have hit on what seems to me to be one of the most unfair provisions in the current the Way the Law anyone who is receiving social Security and earns More than per year is docked one Dollar in benefits for every two Dollar she earns Over that that like penalizing people for and i believe there is plenty that needs to be done in our society so people will not be discouraged from regardless of their if they Are willing and now that the july crop report is Grain Farmers across the Corn Belt Are More nervous than Ever about sliding Grain prices As Harvest draws even though key Rains Are a vital the next six weeks Rrt Ost farm ers Are planning for their crops to be larger than last the big question is can a Large crop be absorbed without seriously de pressing prices can a Corn corp of six billion bushels be Worth More than per Bushel first of Grain in my have one important aspect in their favor toward holding profitable prices if a bumper crop should this is the Federal governments concern Over a balance of no matter what the tax is on imported Oil within the next the Ford administration cannot alleviate the Oil financial crunch with in this time i believe Grain in the administrations estimation must be a vital Factor in helping pay for the inflated Oil brought into this country not Only Are the number of bushels exported of a vital financial import but More important is the Price received per Bushel for the the larger the Price per the greater the number of dollars entering the country to offset those i am convinced that if this Type of governmental philosophy does not hold it will not be because the us a and Ford administration did not want it to the key is should private Grain sources with the blessings of our governmental fathers dispose of a surplus if it develops As is it will be difficult if Grain Are to continue under such corruption As has been disclosed this past foreign buyers cannot be sold Grain they do not receive or an inferior product at a Superior Price without i encourage our governmental officials to act quickly toward restoring honesty to our exporting it must be done to improve the financial Well being of the this should include extensive criminal proceedings against All those involved in illegal Grain time is too important to merely spend holding Public 7 to 9 july 30 Register for free door prizes cookies Coffee ice Cream Cones served i free balloons for the kids i store opens to business 8
