Dewey and Mayor Robert Wagner of New York city also will speak was received Sunday during the ceremonies in New York city which launched the eight months observance.A reconsecration service at the*Spanish and Portuguese Synagogue, in the United States, Sunday opened the celebration.MESSAGES READThe service was greeted with messages from President Eisenhower and President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi of Israel.
