HE NATIONAL JEWISH POSTFriday, September 17,1President Eisenhower to Speak At New York Tercentenary FeteNEW YORK (JP)—President Eisenhower will be the principal speaker at the first national Tercentenary dinner to be held Oct. 20 at the Hotel Astor in New York.Confirmation of acceptance by the President of an invitation to attend the dinner at which Gov.Thomas E. Dewey and Mayor Robert Wagner of New York city also will speak was received Sunday during the ceremonies in New York city which launched the eight months observance.A reconsecration service at thetSpanish and Portuguese Synagogue, in the United States, Sunday opened the celebration.MESSAGES READThe service was greeted with messages from President Eisenhower and President Yitzhak Ben-Zvi of Israel. Civic religious and other organizations in 250American cities and in other countries took part in the opening of the observance.More than 500 persons, headedby Ralph E. Samuel, national Tercentenary chairman, and New York State Supreme Court Justice Edgar J.
