The visiting consul will receive callers and will do the same type of business done by the Israel consulates in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.According to Miss Ester Her-litz. who will serve as the visitingconsul during a reception here to be given in honor of Mordecai R. Kidron, deputy permanent representative of Israel in the United Nations, the idea was created by Abba Eban, Israel’s ambassador to the United States. The plan was created to answer to the need for a consulate in thiscity without incurring the costs of establishing a permanent consulate here, A secretary, whom persons wishing information or aid may contact for an appointment with the visiting consul, willbe maintained on a full-time basisin Boston.
