Santa Fe Public Schools Superintendent Gloria Rendon announced Wednesday at a news con she is retiring after four years hi the position and nearly 30 years in education Her last day is Oct 7 Citing wishes to spendmore time with her fam ily she recently found out she and her husband are going to be grandparents for the first time Rendon said she was ready to move on For the last 29 years Ive By Brandon Garcia The New Mexican An Espanola teenager died Wednesday after crashing his car while driving himself and his sister to school in Pojoaque Chris Mentalvo 17 was headed toward Pojoaque Valley High School at about when the car drifted off westbound 502 He overcorrected and the car rolled Santa Fe County Sheriff Greg Solano said His sister LeAnn Montalvo 14 who was wearing her seat
