It is expected government will bring the armed forces up to sufficient told me that my service was no longer required right then and there but instead he waited until monday morning after i had started to work and Laid us married workers most All of us off in a Bunch. The floor Boss told me to whether they Are married or single As Long As they Are efficient to do the work and As Long As they really need a Job. Legs or arms broken he would probably understand Why officers order Young violates into the station for a lecture. Why does no to e. L. M., As an intelligent citizen help the police by warning boys that he sees Riding double of the dangers they Are exposed to that would be a deed Well done. The Many hazards a bicycle rider has to contend with is the foundational fact for the a Racine safety patrol strength to insure the safety of go into the office and i was Laid the nation. The treaty strength is o a for no reason at All except goes pedestrians Only 20,000 men but it is believed there Are thousands of sufficiently Well trained men to enable an army of at least a Quarter of a million being formed at the first Call. Turkey Albania and Greece among them have sufficient forces to bring the total of the standing i was married. After almost eight years of faithful service that is what i got in return. I guess the Foreman and floor Boss wanted to put on a floor show for the Benefit of the single girls old maids and widows both grass and Sod in All my time i worked in the factory i have also found so s. L. M., As to How it should have been done would have been better than a criticism. Probably e. L. M., could show our boys in uniform just How the Cap armies in Southeastern Europe to that married women Are More con about 1,000,000 men. Genial to work with More ready to invite accidents dear editor i have always considered careless automobile Drivers the cause of our Many traffic deaths. However after observation of our Ture should have been done after downtown traffic last saturday police from coast to coast had a ills changed edit and As for Dillinger speeding e. L. Night my viewpoint considerable. A traffic police blew his whistle for a line of cars to ?? As the cars proceeded to move several pedestrians darted across the Street in front of the cars narrowly averting being struck. I also observed three instances of persons dashing across streets in the Middle of a Block running Between moving lines of cars. There Are enough accidental mishaps without people having to j a of invited and actually seem to j a Odaree an Accident automobile i Drivers have Many rules to Bear j in mind and Are certainly expected to observe every single one of them. Pedestrians have a few rules to remember and if they would obey and abide to the rules As we i Drivers must do the traffic toll j would be lessened a great Deal. Both parties must co operate to bring successful results. Racine has very Good and efficient traffic regulations but they Are useless if people openly ignore them. I sincerely Hope this plea for pedestrian co operation for safety will cause some of these careless and fool Hardy persons to be More observant of rules thereby insuring their own safety and helping us Drivers to Cut Down the traffic tolls which we Are so often told and reminded of. P., Spring St ?t8 or stub s detailed answer to a egg thrower dear editor i wish to impress the following facts upon the mind of e. L. The egg thrower of last sunday to bulletin in regard to our local police Force. As for the Young bicycle riders if e. L. Were father of two or three boys and an ambulance should Stop in front of his House and unload one of the boys with quainter with his methods of operating for if he was he would know that John never exceeded Speed limits he knew that would bring on arrest which he tried to avoid. As for the wrestling match criticism if e. L. Knew the procedure of wrestling matches he would understand Why no arrests Are made. In closing a few words about the tin badge situation evidently e. L. Has been accustomed to seeing a badge at very close Range otherwise he would not know of what material they were made or perhaps he has scratched his hand on one of them thank you editor for this Opportunity to reply to what i consider was very in justified criticism. C. R. G., Yout St give Good renters a a of break is plea dear editor we read so much about bad renters let to give the Good ones a break. We have always rented for 15 years and taken Good care of the Flats but it never was appreciated. We paid one landlord $45 a month. Lived there 4 years and then asked him to lower the rent for the depression. Of no he could no to do that. So we moved and he rented to a family who paid one year and then lived there two More years and never paid a cent and now he rents for $25. But could he come Down for us of no last year we moved into a 7 room House out of which the landlord himself had moved it was papered new a but dirty i cleaned out radiators and in the cold air vents were newspapers four years old. We cleaned up the basement and i bought paper and papered the clothes closets to cover up the dirt. The plumbing has leaked the entire year and we have told the landlord 40 times but he does no to fix. The plumbing is 25 years old and the Kitchen sink an old wooden affair. I buy Wax and Wax the linoleum edging on the floors and we take Good care of the place. Then in March he comes Over and raises the rent $15. We Are a Small family and surely that ought to count for something in the care of a House. During this year he has painted one porch fixed a Light and 2 faucets and put on new Back Steps All told spending about $3 and has received $240 Cash in return. These landlords make me sick they done to appreciate decent renters. We can to possibly pay $35 a month so move again. Why done to they Tell you they Are going to boost the rent in a year. But of no they want some one to clean the place up for them so they won to have to. I sure Hope you will print this. C. E., Racine St South Shore East. Western bindery is. Mod Ines at Lewis Field no. The author of that letter thought i might be insulted by it so i would like to inform him that instead of insulting me i think he insulted his own intelligence. Anyone who concludes that your or any other paper is so perfect that it cannot be improved ought to think twice before he tells everyone his thoughts. I wonder How Many people agree with that person and think that i am selfish and Lack intelligence and consideration for others because i offered some criticism. I would like to know what that person contributed besides telling you what a perfect paper you have.
