The Weatherman said however that heavy winds will follow the recover bodies of 4 in Montana lost in blizzard Glasgow Mont. I athe bodies of four persons stranded by a blinding new year s eve blizzard in isolated ranch country were found saturday about one mile from their snowbound pickup truck. A pair of Small Black overshoes sticking out of a Snowdrift led to discovery of the bodies by an air Force helicopter Rescue team. Dead were mrs. Joseph Bir Koski 52, two of her 12 children Johnny 13, and Margaret 12, and her brother in Law Mike Birkoski 49, a rancher. They brought to five the number of exposure deaths in Montana since Snow and cold surged into the state thursday. Left in truck the Birkoski left their Glasgow Home thursday noon in a pickup truck for a Holiday visit with mrs. Birkoski s bus band Joseph 46, an employee at the b. P. The Mother s hand still clutched the Fence which the four apparently used for a guide through the blinding torm. A flashlight was found under one body. Temperatures dropped to below freezing in the area thursday night. Storm and reach speeds up to 35 Miles an hour. Snow flurries were expected to continue today in the upper great lakes Region. A storm brought heavy Snow to the Northwestern third of Wisconsin saturday morning. Ashland reported 10 inches by Daybreak. Superior Duluth reported 16 inches of Snow on the ground for a gain of five inches since Friday morning. Grantsburg gained six inches. The state traffic patrol earlier said local areas of freezing rain and sleet caused hazardous driving conditions particularly in the southwestern sector around Prairie Duchien. Some Southern counties reported Mist or Liht rain. Around Wisconsin saturday the highest temperature was 40 degrees at Milwaukee. The thermometer dipped to a Low of 22 at Superior.
