Gruel Farmed in Clayton and Alla Makee counties until his retirement in 1966 when he moved to Waukon. Preceding him in death were his parents a son Darwin in 1943, and his wife Amanda in 1961. Or Gruel is survived by two sons Karlton of Waukon and Larry of Bolingbrook Illinois a granddaughter a brother Wilbert Gruel de Corah and a sister mrs. Viola Lenth of Monona.
