Lor Susan Hope Smith who died tuesday june 27, from injuries resulting from an automobile Accident near Blackwell Oklahoma. Miss Smith was in route Home for a furlough from fort Hood Texas where she was stationed. The Rev. Curtis Webster officiated. Susan Hope Smith daughter of Leonard and Frances Koontz Smith was born March 11, 1951 at Waukon. She was educated in the elementary schools of the county and graduated from the Allam Alcee Community High school Waukon in 1969. The same year she enlisted in the women s army corps. She received her , in the nursing Field and served in that capacity. She had completed three years of service and had enlisted for another six.
