F-ach City firove to ourdo each other, but 'tis agreed on all hands, that nothing can exceed what was done in this place, at you may fee by the following account thereof. The Divine Service being ended with all imaginable decency and folemni'ty, the rejoycingr begun in the evening with frequent difchargesof i 3 Field pieces planted at each end of the Vjwrbeig, and 14 other pieces of Cannon, 18 and 24 Pounders, phnted behind rhe Cloy/rer Church, which were anfwered by a� mmy discharges and Solco's of our Garrifon, and the Ringing of the Bells. This w*s but a (ignal or Preluda of the rmgniiit e k Fireworks, which were to be performed over agiinft the Windows of the federal Colleges of the Sratcs. The yjver, whkh is a large Pond of Water 300 paces long atid loo broad, was covered with 30 lictle Stops with 3 Mafts each, adorn'd with different Pendants and Flag*, reprefenting ihj Confederate fleet, and theiefotc part had Engiilh Colou�s,and the other thofe of the States. The AdmiraJ Ship com* minded by the Sieur Startvelt, htd the Imperial Flag. Several other little Ships towards the end of the Vy-' ver with Franch and SpinUh Flag* reprefented Count Cbate wren aud\ Squadron, and the Spanifh Plate Fleet at Vigo, which wete deftroyed. Thefe Fleers engaged, and formed a very entertaining Nan-vtachia or Sea Fight, which lifted till all die French Ships were taken, burnt or ft'randed, as well as the Gillions ; and fo much order was obferved in that feeming ainfulion, rhat no body was killed or drowned. Ttfis Sea Fight being over, rhaJFireworks were performed with the fame tuccefs ; but 'tis proper to give y�u firft of all a dcf.iiption thereof. They i��'r, when rhe Mirquis of Bedmur raifed the Siege of H�lfi. The Anns of the States General, and thole of our Allies appeared above the Cornice, adorned wt1! difF--r=n,. Trophies,and ochirtdrhefeArms appeared an OS-arigularJCir^a/ff above the Temple.aforelaiis, oa fjse topof which were represented the Arms of the feven Provinces which were illuminated as well as tie reft of the Cnpulo, representing the S�* and HaV-bour of Vigo, and on the top of.ihe whole was a Figure of 9 Foot high reprefenting Fame. .
