Skates is survived by her children pastor Sheila yellow Quill Ogina Peter yellow Quill Shelley Doug Solvason Sheri Peter Courchene Kendrea Peters Jeff leeches Anastasia Olson Kevin Peters and chief David Geraldine leeches her siblings Phillip Myran Mary Tizzard Lawrence Lorraine Myran James Myran Helen Myran Donna Bartlett Dave Theresa Sanderson and Maureen Sinclair. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Peters son Montgomery Peters parents Andrew & Florence Myran Sisters Louise leeches Ethel Mackinnon and Agatha Myran Brothers Royce Myran and Luke Myran and one granddaughter Nicole Peters. Katie is Best known for her kindness gentleness meekness and love for All. She was the main link to our family unit and was always there to listen and encourage All of us. Some of momus work history includes Cara foods operations Reliance co. Plastic Midwest garments factory Mac housekeeping at Westward Village inn farm labourer and Foster Parent with up docs. Mom enjoyed life raised pigs and cattle known across Canada for her leather and Bead work crafts and she travelled to numerous places to sell her crafts with one of her most liked places to go sell being Sandy Bay where she made Many friends gardening and caring for her Many House plants sewing cooking and preparing for garage bake sales. She also enjoyed attending Church special gospel meetings and listening to Long Plain gospel hour. She had Many pets with the last companion being Muffy. In her last Days she enjoyed spending Quality time with her daughters Sheila Shelley Sheri & Kendrea and numerous grandchildren nieces and nephews. Special helpers who provided Home care for mom were Ian Merrick Joshua yellow Quill Long Plain medical Drivers Home care staff Maureen Sinclair l. P. N., or. Rizk Doug Solvason Robert Merrick Kevin Peters Peggy leeches Donna Beauchamp and Portage Hospital staff. The family thanks All who have loved and cared for our Mother. Wake service will be held at Long Plain spirit Lodge beginning at 7 00 p. M. On thursday May 16, 2013. Funeral service will begin at 12 noon on Friday May 17, 2013. Interment to follow at yellow Quill cemetery. Com Pohl Edward Tedd Stanley april 26, 1947 May 6, 2013with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Tedd Stanley Pohl. Tedd was born april 26, 1947 in Gladstone my to Vernon and Mavis Pohl. Tedd was raised in the Gladstone area. Tedd married Shelly Anderson on september 27, 1969. Tedd and Shelly lived in Winnipeg after they were married and Tedd worked on construction Crews around the City and took his carpentry Levels. Tedd had grown to love carpentry work from a Young age of working with his dad and uncles who were All carpenters. When their first daughter was born in 1976 they decided to move Back to Gladstone buying a Home in the Golden Stream District. Their daughter Tara was born in 1979 and they spent Many Happy years in Golden Stream raising their girls. Tedd did carpentry work when they moved Back to Gladstone with his dad and brother. After a few years he built a shop and opened a Benjamin Moore paint store. A few years later he turned the shop Side into a takeout Chicken and pizza restaurant. They soon realized that they were Selling More Chicken than paint so they remodelled and turned the entire building into a restaurant. Tedd was commonly known As Chicken Tedd around town some people even referred to him As the colonel. Tedd worked in the restaurant for Many years with his wife Shelly and their daughters Megan and Tara. In the Early 90 s Tedd began to go Blind due to his diabetes. He remained positive and Independent As he progressively lost his sight. Tedd enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being around his granddaughters Gracie and Mia Gargol. Tedd was predeceased by his father Vern and his Mother Mavis Pohl and his in Laws Ken and Flossie Anderson. Tedd will be missed by his wife of 43 years Shelly daughters Megan and Tara James granddaughters Gracie and Mia Brothers Mick Judy Pohl and Mark Pohl Sisters Verna Tom Otto and Cori Neil Chapmen. As Well As numerous nieces nephews Brothers and Sisters in Laws. A graveside service was held on saturday May 11, 2013 at 11 00 am at the Gladstone cemetery with Lynne Sanderson officiating. Kelly Janice thank you friends and neighbors. I had a wonderful time at the pot Luck dinner at Lavenham. The food was excellent seeing so Many friends from near and far was like a breathe of Sunshine and the unexpected gift of Money was very thoughtful. Malcolm Ray Wilma and Lynda your kind words and song were very much appreciated.
