It should contain a Large amount co related data valuable in the administration Community affairs. It should Point out not alone the Quantity and extent factors essential to Industrial development but it should show the weak links in the Chain which stand As barriers to that development. In spotting those weak links a significant Community service is performed because it enables localization efforts in rectification them. Over the years port Arthur and its civic organizations frequent occasions have Laboured diligently in behalf Industrial development. Large amounts have been raised and expended. After events show that much these funds have been wasted not in extravagance but because no adequate picture the Community s resources in their relation to development in Lack certain essential factors was available to guide us in our efforts. As we have commented before most us have ideas the subject. It is not surprising that some these ideas Are directly opposed to other ideas. We have a somewhat vague and hazy idea that we have what it cakes to obtain industries and new a business enterprises. In Short we labor under what Well be an hallucination simply because we Lack facts that Are essential to the direction our efforts along the lines practicability and feasibility. A when we take a Cross country trip a Road map to guide us is an essential. Without it we probably would go several Hundred Miles out our Way. Without it we would very often get off Tho Road running into impasse abilities necessitating detours and return to some starting Point. When we build a House othe Structure a blueprint is essential because it places every room and every Wall in proper relation. Without it the pantry might be an adjunct the living room r Tho bathroom an adjunct the Kitchen. It prevents in Short a meandering and aimless style Structure that would be the result confused and opposed opinions workmen attempting to interpret the builders wishes. W e have resources to that something Are but adapted what we have handicaps that bar Community ambitions and needs what Are they an Industrial Survey a Community blueprint is essential to a determination these facts. A then with our eyes open Tho sharply outlined instead ooh cured in a shimmering Haze we can turn our efforts to definite accomplishment avoid so to speak shattering our shots and be atle to concentrate our fire instead wasting ammunition. A our Community Story As revealed by an Industrial Survey wont All be Beer and Skittles. We think it is just As important to know our limitations As it is u. Know our potentialities. Our needed Industrial Survey would unerringly Point out those limitations As Well As our com turn to Page 2 column 3. Austin youth silent As he is brought into court Austin oct. 21 up a dish judge c.
