A there is today better faster processing than Ever inc business and Industrial show should have been profitable for All did you miss the Industrial and business show last weekend at the Ingersoll Rand employees club in Athens then you missed an Opportunity. What for it depends on your interests. There was something there to Appeal to just about everybody. If you like free things and who does no to there were lots of those to be had. To Start with admission was free. Then you could receive at the various exhibits pens pocket pen holders real roses yardsticks travel beverage mugs Light bulbs coffees sodas donuts holes newspapers free classified ads discount newspaper subscriptions chinese Yoyos balloons paper in Blacks and White by Denny Irvine x toys tests for High blood pressure and fat kids stickers booklets Etc. All free. I saw some people with their arms loaded fists full. And that was Fine with the exhibitors. The daily review for example. Gave away Over 400 donuts holes 200-plus cups of Coffee and better than 120 cans of soda. Free. So if nothing else the show was a Fine spot to pick up some goodies that every budget could afford. But the show was More. Much More. It was rather Small yes with Only 18 exhibitors. But that Wasny to bad for a first Effort by the sponsoring Bradford county Council. Industrial management Council Inland just about filled the i a clubhouse. There a been discussion within the inc already about holding a bigger and better show perhaps As soon As next year maybe in the to Wanda area possibly at the Juk Center. Then if successful in future years the show might be moved to other towns. Exhibitors Are already considering what their next displays might offer. Like everybody else that displayed at the show we from the newspaper had not the slightest idea what to expect How Many people would attend would it be Worth the trouble we decided again like All the other exhibitors that wed give it our Best shot and see what happened in a ready to do it again it was fun. Sure it represented some longish hours Over a weekend but was still Well Worth the Effort id guess i talked to literally hundreds of people during the two Days of the show. The five others from our editorial staff who helped Man our Booth talked with yet hundreds of others who strolled our Way. If the show had offered Only the Opportunity to gel to know better the other exhibitors it would have been Worth it. But we received suggestions for the paper from scores of visitors. I already knew Many of them but Hadnot had an Opportunity to Chat with some in months scores of others were new acquaintances. We did no to sell anything we did no to try to we doubt we could have. That Wasny to Why we were there. Same with most of the other exhibitors we wanted to simply meet you who attended and that we did. A a i. Cial value to the smaller businesses that exhibited they should profit from the exposure the Opportunity to meet Many of those in the local business and Industrial Community who might be interested in purchasing their services at some future time i was surprised at the number of employees of exhibitors that came to the show to see their company a display. It showed a High degree of company loyalty and probably did no to escape the notice of those employers who were helping Man the exhibits. The slower parts of the show also gave me an Opportunity to Chat with some of my own staff a luxury i can to always enjoy during hectic workdays and that was Nice too t
