Lee the president of the Only four year martial arts College in Korea Hopes to supercharge Korea s bid for the Gold Bronze and Silver medal sat the 88 Seoul games by identifying olympic hopefuls and Start training them now for a Tough fight Down the Road. His school founded in 1953 primarily to train future physical education teachers has also worked with the korean armed forces and the National police to toughen up their defense abilities. In the process the school has turned out world class athletes and some top notch Educa tors. One student took the Gold medal for judo atthe Montreal olympics and another took the Bronze. A school graduate won the 1980 . Open judo tournament. Two alumni now teach at Yale University and the University of California a Berkeley. Trophies from worldwide competitions line the school s trophy Case. But All that Lee says is in the past. Now he s got his eyes on the asian games in 86 and the 88 kinds of sports Are becoming popular since Seoul was selected to Host the asian an olympic games Lee said. Our enrolment is increasing.
