Up Clemson president Bill Atchley has imposed unspecified penalties on head football coach Danny Ford and one assistant and says another assistant will be fired for violating Mcaa recruiting procedures. Atchley made the disclosures at the biannual meeting of the University faculty monday but declined to identify the assistants. The Mcaa placed Clemson on two years probation limited its scholarships and barred it from live television and bowl appearances for two years for the violations. Most of the violations involved coaches who have left Clemson and Ford is expected to remain head coach Atchley were 10 members of the coaching staff involved Over five years and seven of those Areno longer at Clemson he said.
