VILHELM SIGTHOR JULIUS HELGASON It is with our deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, afi. brother and uncle Vilhelm Helga-son on October 27,1996 at Selkirk and District General Hospital at the age of 65.He is survived by his beloved wife Florence of 40 years; his children, Randy (Kathy), Alma (Glenn). Also left to hold loving memories of their dear Afi*, his grandchildren, Chris, Garry, Sasha and Blair. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Margaret Decosse (Roland) of St. Paul, Alta,, and numerous nieces and nephews.Born on Hecla Island October 19, 1931 to Stefan and Stefania Heigason, the youngest of four children. Educated and married on Hecla Island, he moved to Selkirk, Man. in 1967 where he worked as a bricklayer for Fiat Masonry and Manitoba Rolling Mills. He raised his family in Selkirk until 1977 but his love for fishing drew him back to Hecla Island. Finding their roots, they built a new home and life together. It was here that he enjoyed fishing, trapping, painting, music, cards andbeing with friends and family.Vilhelm was predeceased by his parents, Stefan and Stefania Heigason; brothers, Stefan andOlafur.The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and thank you to Linda, Doreen and Darlene of Seven Oaks Hospital, also to the nurses and staff at Selkirk and District General Hospital.A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Man. Pastor Debbie Moroz will officiate.
