In the old building the pulpit was at the front end of the church and the audience faced about upon taking their seats.The list of pastors of the Presbyterian church since its organization in 1800 to the present time,is as follows: Rev. Daniel Story, Rev Mr, Robbins, i and Rev. Jacob Lindlev. These three men were practically pastors here before the First Presbyterian church was organized, in 1827, Since then the pastors have been: Rev. Rola-rt G. Wilson, Rev. Samuel Hogue, Rev. Samuel Spaulding, Rev. William Burton, Rev. Timothy Stearns, Rev.N. B. Puriugton, Rev. William H. MoGnffcy, Rev. Wells Andrews, Rev. Aaron Williams, Rev. Moses A. Hogue, Rev. Addison Ballard, Rev. Alfred Ryors, Rev. y. Dieffendorf, Rev. H. Pratt, Rev. James F. Holcomb, Rev. E. W. Schwefel, Rev. James M. Nourse, Rev. Isaac Monfort Rev. William A. Powell, and Rev. G. Walton King, the present incumbent.
