W. G. T. U.The W. C. T. U. met at the home of Mrs. H. A. Milller on Finch street yesterday afternoon. The meeting was opened as usual with song, scripture reading and prayer. After the minutes of the last meeting had been read and approved a business session was held and preliminary arrangements made for the County Institute to be held in the M. E. church this city,March 22 and 23. Mrs. Elizabeth Stanley, state W. C. T. U. organizer will be present and speak at all the sessions of the convention. Another interestmg feature will be the matron’sgrand gold medal contest to be participated in by contestants from all over the county. The union will meet again next week, on account of the large amount of business to be disposed of and further arrangements to be made for the convention, at thehome of Mrs. Jane 1’ond.
