BOMBARDED BY HAIL.The Hail Stones at Rat Portage Last Nig*ht Were Two and a Half — Inches in Diameter—Station lt;Struck by Lightning.Rat Portage, June IS. —A terrific h.%iI storm accompanied by thunder and light* ning struck here about* 7 p.m. this evening creating great alarm. The liail was unprecedented in size, measuring two and a half inches hi diameter. Hardly a building in town escaped serious damage t;o windows. St. Alban's church was very unfortunate in this respect.During the storm the station was struck, by lightning and the cupola fired in three places. The station SUIT succeeded in putting It out without any damage. The lake under a fire of hail was a magnificent sight.
