GREGORY FOTTIAfter a lengthy illness, on December 20, 1984 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Mr. Gregory Fotti, aged 89 years, of the Maples Personal Care Home, beloved husband of Nettie of Winnipeg.Prayers will be said on Sunday, December 23 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Ave. Divine liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael'sUkrainian Orthodox Church, 110 Disraeli St., with Very Rev. S. Kiciuk officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.Mr. Fotti was bom in the Ukraine and came to Canada in 1912, He was a section foreman with the C.N.R. from 1913 to 1957, retiring in Winnipeg. He was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Parish and served as treasurer of the church for many years. He was a lifetime member of the Maintainanee of Way Employee’s Association. Gregory spent countless hours working for the church that he loved so much.Besides hrs loving wife Nettie, he leaves to mourn his passing son Steve and his wife Winnifred of Winnipeg; daughter Mary and her husband John of Rousseau River, Man.; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; brother Michael and his wife Mary Fotty of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son Nick and his wife Vera; two brothers, Steve and Nick, three sisters; Martha, Mary and Domka.The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the Mapies Personal Care Home and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital for the care and kindness shown to the family.Cropo Funeral ChapeJ in care of arrangements (phone 586-8044).
