ATHJKJNSTransAlbert Crippen Becomes Enraged and UsesHis Knife With Cutting Effect*Albert Crippen. aged eighteen, of near Beebe was arrested and brought to Athens Saturday charged with cutting with intent to kill Raymond Cook of that place. Crippen is a youth whose intellect is not the brightest, and Saturday morning while at the store at Beebe several of those present began to phighe him calling him Wheaty** Crippen. as he had at some previous time been accused of stealing a small amount of wheat. Crippen with sto d the taunts as long as he thought was consistent with good nature, and becoming angry he drew a pocket knife and began to use it indiscriminately. Cook j got in the way of the flourishing weapon, and was seriously cut about his face, hands : and body.fCrippen was arrested charged with i cutting with intent to kill. He was jIbrought to Athens for trial before Mayor Davis.
