Patricia Mae McCrearyNew CastlePatricia Mae McCreary, 74, of New Castle passed away the morning of Saturday, Feb. 7,2015, at the Overlook Medical Center in New Wilmington.Born Sept. 18, 1940, in New Castle, Pat was a daughter of the late Pauline and Thomas Britton Reese.She was employed as a nursing assistant for surgical services in the operating and recovery room at Jameson Hospital for 23 years, retiring in 1984.Pat was a long-time member of the Ladies Eagle Club in New Castle.She is survived by her long-time companion, Richard Nonnemaker; her brother, Thomas John Reese and his wife, Janet, of Maryville, Tenn.; two nieces, Tammy Moon and Lisa Thacker of Maryville;her nephew, Tom Davis; and her niece, Wendy Yeropoli, both of New Castle; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews. Pat is also survived by her dear friend, Bonnie Mong and her son, Devin, whom she babysat for many years and he knew her only as “Grandma Pat.”In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two infant children, Johnnie and Joannie McCreary; and her sister, Ruth Davis.Pat was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.A private graveside service will be held this spring at Oak Park Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to the Turner-Myers Funeral Home,New Castle.
