Investment rep announces
Stan Cunningham, investment representative for Edward I) Jones & Co., has announced that Market Scope, the firm’s newest service, is available in his office.
MarketScope is a computer service which gives Cunningham instant access to information and recommendations on more than 4.500 companies.
The service also provides exclusive recommendations that meet specific investment and portfolio objectives, timely commentary on current market activity and economic developments which is updated seven times daily, and specific earning and dividend forecasts on more than 1,000 companies.
The information is transmitted directly from Standard St Poor's computer in New York to Cunningham's own computer via phone lines.

Sahm Tool and Carbide relocated its main office and warehouse from Victoria to 1937 Interstate 35 East Suite IOO New Braunfels.

WestPoint holiday policy restated
As the Christmas season approaches, WestPoint Pepperell would like to restate for the benefit ol suppliers the policy concerning gifts, entertainment, or favors. The policy provides that:
No employee of the company, regardless of his position, may accept gifts, entertainment, or favors from our suppliers or potential suppliers, either directly or indirectly. Exceptions are permitted within the bounds of good judgment only in the case or ordinary social amenities or circumstances involving normal sales promotion, advertising or publicity not reasonably intended to influence business decision or imply obligation.

TG&Y will sell
The TG&Y Stores Co. intends to sell its merchandising division of Household International that includes the stores in Oklahoma City, the firm’s president says.
Richard C. Rusthoven said Tuesday the sale will benefit the chain and its customers. Rusthoven said Household International would be sold to a group of investors for cash and $125 million in subordinated notes. Household International would
own IO percent of Hie acquiring company.
The merchandising subsidiary includes 729 TG&Y stores, 1,800 Ben Franklin stores, 181 Vons West Coast supermarkets and 1,040 franchise hardware stores in 26 states with more than 28,(HK) employees.
Rusthoven said the sale is "a very positive and stabilizing move for TG&Y."
Household International said the agreement was signed with Donald, Lufkin & Jenrette and Fox Meyer Corp Boger E. Stangeland, chief executive of Vons, is scheduled to become chief executive of the new corporation which will be headquartered in Chicago.

Despite rain, bidding on bulls brisk
A steady rain and flood warnings did not hinder the active bidding for Hereford bulls at the Clyde Johnson and Sons sale.
First bull, a Pacesetter son, sold for $5,000 to Jessie Heliums, Sisterdale Valley Ranch. Several of the leading Hereford breeders rn
South Texas were active bidders for the high indexing son of Pacesetter, the two time Denver Champion.
Second Pacesetter son went to J.D. Schmidt Hereford Ranch, Hondo for $3,000. James Johnston Ranch, Pearsall, purchased one bull for $3,500 and another one for $3,000.
Major bull buyers were Eduardo (iarza, Nuevo I.aredo, with 6 bulls for $1,900; M E. O’Conner, Victoria — 4 bulls for $8,000; Gary Schmidt, Mason — 6 bulls for $5,200; Atascosa Livestock, Pleasanton 4 bulls for $4,000; Pierce Ranch, Wimberly I bull for $1,650.
The 15 Clyde Johnson and Son bulls sold for $28,550 to average $1,900 The nine Jack Ebeling bulls sold for $14,805 to average $1,645. The four I .ago Vista consigned bulls averaged $1,050.
Major female buyers were Beverly Brewer, Kingsbury; Henefey J IL Ranch, Spring Branch; Gary Schmidt, Mason and Rodgers Hereford Ranch, Luling.
