New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - November 27, 2005, New Braunfels, Texas OBITUARIES Paid advertisements Immmmm BEVERLY JEAN KATZMARK Beverly Jean Katzmark of Cuero, passed away in her home on Wednesday, November 23, 2003, at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beverly was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 18, 1928, to Carol and Evelyn Hansen. She married Ray Franklyn Katzmark on August 29, 1948. She and her husband, Ray, dedicated their lives to serving others through their two pharmacies Klecka Drug and Center Pharmacy. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Evelyn Hansen, parents-in-law, Frank and Ella Katzmark; and brother, Paul Hansen. She is survived by her husband, Ray Katzmark, son, Randall Katzmark of Cuero formerly of Houston, daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and John Fuquay of New Braunfels, grandchildren Andrew Kyle Katzmark, John Darryl Fuquay, Amy Kaye Fuquay, and Allison Ann Fuquay; brother and sister-in-law. Don and Amy Hansen of Austin; and sister Jo Ann Smart of Denison. Family visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero, Texas from 5:30-7:00p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2005. Services will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church on Sunday, November 27, 2005, at 3;00p.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Cuero, Rev. Steve Byrne officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Cuero or Hospice of South Texas. ERMA EBERT Funeral arrangements are complete at Zoeller Funeral Home for Erma Ebert, age 76, of New Braunfels, who passed away on Friday, November 25, 2005. She was born on October 19, 1929 to Louis and Frieda Hage-meisterin Moulton, Texas. She is survived by son, William R. Ebert Jr, daughter, Carol L. Martin and husband James, sister, Ear-line De Stefano, grandchildren, Nicole Martin, Jason Martin and wife Melissa, Gary Ebert and wife Amber. Great grandchildren Javen Martin, Caden Martin, Kaylee Martin, Isaiah Ebert, Lyndsie Ebert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. J.W. JOHNSON, SR. J.W. Johnson, Sr. passed away at his home at Canyon Lake on Friday November 25, 2005 at the age of 85. Funeral arrangements are pending at Doeppenschmidt Funeral J lome at Canyon Lake. BRANDT JR. Lee J. Brandt Jr. passed away on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the age of 89. Lee was born on June 2, 1916 in San Antonio where he lived until he moved to New Braunfels in 1974. Lee was a San Antonio firefighter for 35 years and retired in 1976 as inspector at the rank of captain. He was also a professional golfer who served as the golf pro at Brackenridge Golf Course in San Antonio and became Texas Amateur golf champion in the 30’s, before his career as a firefighter. Lee married Margaret Marie Sommers of Schulenburg on June 25, 1938 in San Antonio and raised their family of four children. Survivors include his wife Margaret; one daughter — Sister Michael Brandt of the Benedictine Convent in Boerne; 3 sons — Lee Brandt of Corpus Christi, Edward Brandt and wife Frances of New Braunfels, and Greg Brandt and fiancee Dana Riedel of New Braunfels; grandchildren — Michelle Brandt of Dallas, Lee J. Brandt IV and wife April of San Antonio, and Taylor and Hailey Brandt of New Braunfels; great-grandchildren — Lee J. Brandt V and Garrett Brandt of San Antonio. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday, starting at 5 p.m. before the 7 p.m. service at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels. The funeral service is scheduled at IO a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2005 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 138 W. Austin St. in New Braunfels. Internment to be arranged.
