Seguin employee added to NB city manager list By Leigh Jones Staff Writer The city of New Braunfels has lost one city manager candidate finalist before council members ever had a chance to interview him. Kent Myers, city manager in Hot Springs, Ark., pulled his name from the list of administrators under consideration late Friday, citing family-related reasons. He has been replaced by alternate candidate Douglas Faseler, Seguing interim city manager. Faseler has worked for the city of Seguin since 1996, where he started as director of utilities and public works and moved on to be assistant city manager. Before joining Seguin’s staff, Faseler worked for the city of Live Oak as director of planning, assistant city manager and eventually city manager.
