I hope every family in New Braunfels takes tile time to see it. Lots of people have donated an incredible amount of time and energy to make the exhibit an audio and visual delight. The refreshments are reason enough to take a walk back in time and enjoy ail exhibit that shows what the founders of New Braunfels might have witnessed and experienced when they settled here. Gloria Hughes New Braunfels Resident says, “What’s up, Doc?” Dear Editor, I think we should be able to keep pet rabbits in the city limits. They are less trouble than dogs or cats. They don’t make noise or get in trash like dogs. They don’t roam loose like cats because they are kept in a cage. Rabbits make great pets. They are easy to care for. The city prohibits livestock within city limits and rabbits are considered to be livestock, but rabbits and rabbit products are sold in pet shops. I think there should be an exception made in the city ordinance for rabbits because they’re more like pets than farm animals. Walnut Ave 625-3477 Texas Lottery promotion returns to Wurstfest The Texas Lottery completes their fun-filled return trip to Wurstfest in New Braunfels with a special promotion that includes a $3 adult discount on “Texas Lottery Night,” Wednesday, Nov. 8, and includes Lottery prize giveaways. “We’ve been eager to come back to Wursthalle ever since our highly successful engagement two years ago,” Lottery Director Nora Linares said. “We hope all of our Lottery friends and fans in New Braunfels and the surrounding area will come out and have fun with us. “Our staff at the trailer will be showing folks how to play our newest online game called CASH 5, which began Oct. 13,” Linares said. We’ll also be giving away Lottery goodies that include sweatshirts, caps and mugs.” According to Wurstfest Association Executive Director Suzanne Herbelin, previous Lottery promotions held during Wurstfest have been extremely successful and festival patrons enjoy the Lottery trailer. The savings at the gate with a non-winning lottery ticket offers festival-goers the opportunity to enjoy Wurstfest and Myron Florets last performance at one-half the regular price. 10O percent givers The staff at First Commercial Bank, New Braunfels are “100 percent givers” for this year’s United Way fundraising campaign.
