NELDA (TUSNELDA) HALM
Nelda (Tusnelda) Halm, age 80, of Hancock at Canyon Lake, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at the Eden Home, Inc. She was bom May 17, 1917 in Cranes Mill to Edwin Burkhardt and Augusta (Haas) Burkhardt Weiner Her stepfather was David Werner. She married Robert E. Halm on Dec. 9, 1937, in New Braunfels. She was a housewife who also helped her husband on die farm and ranch. She was a member of the Germania Fanner Verein.
She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Halm of Hancock; two sons, Kleo Halm and wife Dell of Austin and Kenneth Halm and wife Ray of Austin; two daughters, Audrey Stratemann and husband Lester of San Antonio and JoleneBulverde
Wesch and husband Larry of Lockhart; nine grandchildren, Valerie Halm and Sam McElroy, David Halm, Dwain Halm and Amanda, Laure Halm and Mike Stroll, Tina Wesch and Eloy Valdez, Tanya Wesch and Randy Homann, John Stratemann and Tracy, Lyle Stratemann and Sarah and Lynn Stratemann; seven greatgrandchildren, Sarah, Ryan and Madison McElroy, Robert and Brandon Halm, Natalie Valdez and Randa Homann; one sister, Viola Jonas and husband Elmo; plus numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Walter and Verde Lee Halm; sister-in-law, Lydia Plumeyer and aunt, Minna Mueller of New Braunfels.
Pallbearers are Charles Plumeyer,
Barney Halm, Elroy Jonas, Mike Jonas, David Halm and Dwain Halm. Visitation began at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Zoeller Funeral Home and continues until service time.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zoeller Funeral Home, with interment to follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or to the Church in the Valley building fund.JailerZ-^evneral home
Ruth Reynolds passed away on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1997 in New Braunfels at the age of 88 years. She is survived by one daughter, Bobbie Clemons and husband Gayle of Harlingen, Texas; one son, John M. Reynolds and wife Pauline of New Braunfels; six grandchildren, Gary Clemons, Kathy Williams, Kyle Clemons, Carol Schmidt, Valerie Riedel and Andrea Baker and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997 at the Restland Memorial park in Dallas, Texas. Supporters of incorporation said Bulverde needed to incorporate or face the possibility of San Antonio’s extra territorial jurisdiction expanding to the Bulverde Air Park on New Year's Day and the threat of annexation. They said incorporation would allow Bulverde residents to control their area for years to come.
